The Brevard Zoo has a mission of “wildlife conservation through education and participation.” Our grant supported to Zoo to further this mission. Along with the help of Embraer volunteers, an information kiosk was constructed for visitors to learn about climate change and climate action. Brevard County's vulnerability to sea level rise and other climate change impacts - and what individuals may do to offset the latter - are important for visitors to learn about. Brevard County, FL
Clarke School for Hearing and Speech provides children who are deaf or hard of hearing with the listening, learning and spoken language skills they need to succeed. To strengthened their students’ STEM skills, Embraer employees installed a Magnet Wall purchased with the grant funds. The Magnet Wall is a unique platform for expanding creative play in the classroom. Kids can explore slopes, cause & effect, momentum and gravity through hands on experimentation. This adds an interactive competent to their lessons fostering the kid’s natural inclination to explore, to build and question. Jacksonville, FL.
